The last thing I needed when I bought this car was another project. With a garage overflowing with vehicles, including a 1993 Thunderbird Super Coupe that had been disassembled, patiently awaiting a full rebuild since 2004, I had to really work to justify this purchase. As I recall, my final reasoning included some non-sense about this being a stock V6 that would provide better fuel mileage for long road trips in nice weather. At the time, I owned a big block V8, a supercharged V8, and a couple of naturally aspirated V8 powered vehicles, so it seemed logical. And if that were not reason enough, it was a very limited production Cougar that was in need of help, and someone had to save it. Thus began over 3 years of work, thousands of dollars, and the story of one of the most overlooked American sport coupes of the early 90’s.
